About our staff -- Coumba Ndong
Coumba is from the Serer people in Senegal. She is the proud mother of Dorcas Elizabeth and the wife of Ferdinand Rahve Ndong. After completing her Discipleship Training School in Niakhar, Senegal, in Dec 2004, she came on staff at that same base, ministering mainly in villages around Niakhar.
Her home is often filled with young people seeking the councel of her husband. Coumba has a vision to help the youth in Noundokh. But little Dorcas is not giving her Mum much chance for missionary endeavours right now.
Coumba, a seemstress, desires to work with women's groups, teaching Bible and sewing. The base leader, Annette Courvoisier, comments, "Coumba doesn't say a lot. But when she does, she speaks with much wisdom."
Coumba often blesses people with warm hospitality. "I appreciate the quality of relationships amongst the YWAM staff members," she says.
