| Loy wants to communicate through video | ||
| Hi, I'm Loy Cidalio T. Migi. I am 21 years old and was born on April 30, 1981. I was raised in a Christian home and my father is the pastor of Evangelical Brothers Church. | ||
| I had a good childhood, but when I was a teenager I chose to follow my own way, even though I continued going to church and was singing in the choir. Because I was drinking, going to discos and had a lot of girlfriends, it was difficult to be committed to God and spiritually I was not growing and was very dissatisfied. | ||
| I knew I needed to change my life, but was not sure how? My Christian life was going no where and I was bored. I began to study at one of YWAM's Night DTSs when I was confronted with the"4 Spiritual Laws", I realized this Jesus was the only answer to having a fulfilled and happy life. | ||
| One of the missionaries gave an invitation that was different from any I had witnessed and I went forward and re-dedicated my life to Jesus Christ and am now happily serving and helping the youth in my church and other young people not going to church.
When I was involved with the Night DTS, I was challenged by a teaching about "Giving up your Rights". It was then that I felt God call me to be a part of Missions. During my DTS in 2002, I wasn't sure what God had for me or what specific ministry I was to pursue. As I was praying, God put in my heart and mind a desire to do Video and Communication Course so that I could raise mission awareness and show others what God is doing in Angola and how YWAM contributes to the development of the country and the churches. I also want to contact the Genesis project and give visual news for the bases periodically. Another dream of mine is to start another YWAM Base in my own province (northern Angola). I would first like to enroll in the Community Development School as it will prepare me in many practical and spiritual ways.
As from October 2002 we will have the first camps at the Lobito YWAM base. I plan to work with YWAM Lobito (Kings Kids) for the next three to four years. Although we have little, we believe God has promised that good days are ahead and so I am doing my best to follow Him and trust Him for everything we need. If you have a similar calling or desire, please pray for me and also write me as it would be good to communicate with you. May God bless all the Christians and all the YWAMers in the world! Amen. Loy |
