Suente is deaf and nine years old. His brother Nelson is seven. Their mother died in 2000. Their father is an alcoholic who sleeps wherever he wants to. Suente is now in school and Nelson attends Preschool. We also hear of another brother, four years old and somewhere in Luanda, the capital city.
