This and that
During the 37 years of YWAM's existence in Africa more than 35 YWAMers have given their lives to this continent.
We are now over 2000 staff members working in more than 120 locations around Africa. YWAM has established permanent centres in all but seven of the 60 African countries and territories, and is sending short-term teams to those seven nations also.
From time to time, regional staff get together to celebrate their successes and to strategize. Our teams are growing in their ability to network and partner across the continent, and that mutual support lends strength to the work.
Hery Ramanantsialonina, national director for Madagascar
YWAM Madagascar will be hosting the Indian Island Games,
9-19 August 2007, which is a wonderful opportunity for networking with the YWAMers in Mauritius, Reunion and Seychelles, who are struggling with isolation.

Please check the Calendar for details on the following:
  • Indian Island Games, 9 August 2007
  • South Central Africa regional staff conference, 15 August
  • RLT 17 September 2007, 10 March 2008

    A Herero lady from Namibia

"My mother's sister is my mother; my uncle's son is my brother; my brother's child is my son."
    Nelson Mandela
"We ask ourselves: Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone."
    Nelson Mandela
