YWAM Maseru

Thabo and `Marethabile Makepe coordinate YWAM's work in Lesotho. Together with their 4 year old son they live in the capital Maseru. Thabo did his DTS in Delmas, South Africa in 1988 while Marethabile completed hers in 1995 at Stilfontein, South Africa. This is what they write:

Involvement

We have just initiated a new YWAM outreach ministry, called 'Ladies Unlimited' to sex workers in Maseru. The vision is to see the ladies reconciled to God, gaining dignity and purpose in Christ. Our driving passion is taking the Gospel to the streets and making Christ known there.
Our vision

Young Basotho are capable people. Given adequate and relevant training they can transform their communities, which is our passion. We believe God has given all peoples resources to reach their own generation. We want to see Basotho mobilised and trained to reach their own nation and beyond.
YWAM relevance amongst the Basotho

Never before has all that God has given to YWAM been so needed and desired amongst the Basotho people. Our greatest asset is the desire to hear from God, to follow His leading no matter how unconventional or unfashionable the methods may seem and an unwavering passion for evangelism and discipleship.
