Casa Re'Om means the Lord is the Good Shepherd.

Casa Re'Om in Beira is a home for children from difficult circumstances. This home provides children with basic needs including education, healthcare and skills training such as farming, in a loving environment.

Casa Re'Om began in Beira city in 1989 as a drop-in centre for street kids where they were given a meal, a bath and healthcare. After some time, the boys who had nowhere to stay started to sleep in the corridors of the building. Eventually the number of boys living there increased to such an extent that they found the building was not fit to accommodate them all. A piece of land was purchased at a place called Inhamizua, 13km from the city, and here the children's centre is now being built.

80 boys currently live at Casa Re'Om and a total of 102 children are in their care, both in Beira and in Dondo. The boys enjoy living at the new centre where they feel comfortable and have plenty of space to play football and run around.
