Fredrick
My names are Fredrick Otieno Onoka,I was born 2/3/1984 in Kisumu, Kenya.I am a Kenyan by nationality. He joined YWAM Athi River, Kenya in April 2004 for a DTS course which was a challenging experience. It was a three month lecture phase followed by a two months outreach. It is at this time that he got his true identity in God, Mission life. He had always known it was children ministry God called him into but during His DTS this was confirmed. Later that year in October he did a second level school with YWAM. “Principles in Child and Youth Ministry” (PCYM).After this school he moved to Uganda to work with a Youth Ministry known as Offtu-mission. Much of the work was school evangelism, an Urban children ministry and Youth conventions every school . Then he returned to YWAM, Athi River Base in October 2007.

He believes the Lord has called him back to YWAM on a long term mission. Besides the children ministry, he is practical and administratively gifted. He is helping the base with the maintenance. Much of his involvement is also in schools where we reach out to the students every week in our neighboring community.

NB: In so doing he believes he is fulfilling the greatest commission of our Lord Jesus and a part of YWAM’s vision “Knowing God and Making Him Known”.

Fred is a good man to have around. Pray for his continues involvement and participation and fulfillment in the ministry. For the time being he does have one sponsor who is helping him to fulfill his monthly obligations to the mission.
