Athi River YWAM Center The Athi River center is situated 50 km from Nairobi City Centre in the serene and tranquil atmosphere of the African landscape. The training centre is still in the developing stages but leadership has no lack of vision and well thought through goals for the future. One of the main goals is to establish a mission minded community where we train and release people into their gifts and callings in partnership with the local church.
At our base we focus on evangelism, training and mercy ministries, demonstrated through our training schools. And, if have fun too!
The primary goal of the Discipleship Training School is to strengthen individuals in their relationship with God and others and to equip them to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others throughout the world. An additional emphasis is placed on reaching the unreached people groups in Kenya and those who live in urban and rural areas. The lecture phase includes topics like mission and evangelism, spiritual warfare, the character and nature of God, the lordship of Christ, sin, forgiveness, repentance; the person, work and fruit of the Holy Spirit and others. Our setup is perfect for hosting teams to give them exposure into missions. We organize hospital visits, open-air meetings, school ministries, prison ministry in Nairobi, evangelistic outreaches into Masailand and also along the Kenyan coast among some unreached people groups mainly of Muslim and animistic religious background. We serve the community with a pre-school.We host kings kids camps during our school holidays.
